:D Theme: "Les Heureux" :D

This theme is open to lots of interpretation. Perhaps you might explore who in the story are "the happy ones" as opposed to being "the miserable ones." Or you might illustrate what would have made "the miserable ones" happy. Or another thought that crossed my mind, right now many fans seem to  be "the miserable ones," what might have made or might make the fans "the happy ones" (either about the 25th anniversary contest or the upcoming movie).

This theme is broad, flex your creative muscle and show us what "Les Heureux" means to you!

WINNERS:

:star: FIRST PLACE :star:
A. Les heureux by TheRandomAnchovy

Everything about this deviation said "happiness!" from the pastel colors to the subtle smiles on everyone... (well almost everyone's) faces. Loved that Javert was included though not necessarily pleased with the situation!

Prizes:
:bulletblue: 100 points donated by Durnesque
:bulletblue: Permanent place in Featured Folder.
:bulletblue: Group, Starlene and Durnesque journal feature.
:bulletblue: Full Commission by Durnesque

SECOND PLACE

H. An Evening at the Potmercy Mansion by Starlene

Adore the story that Starlene composed to go with this! And it's lovely to see Valjean surrounded by children as he should have been! Javert with cats is rather fitting as well... A very fun entry and well executed!

Prizes:
:bulletred: 70 points donated by Durnesque
:bulletred: Group, Starlene and Durnesque journal feature.
:bulletred: Commission by Durnesque

THIRD PLACE
D. Les Heureux by caroll-in

The deviation for every Eponine/Marius shipper! This deviation shows what would have happened if Ponine hadn't been friendzoned! Makes you wonder what would have become of them at the barricade though... A wonderfully well drawn piece!

Prizes:
:bulletyellow: 50 points donated by Durnesque
:bulletyellow: Group, Starlene and Durnesque journal feature.

Congratulations to ALL the winners! And really, well done to everyone! It was a great contest and that's thanks to EVERYONE who took the time to enter!

Winners, please note me about your commissions! I will get the points to you ASAP!

Is Starlene going to be featuring herself?
Just curious.

No, she is not - she is quite self-centered, but not enough to do that. ;)

BUT STARLENE WAS PROMISED A JOURNAL FEATURE IN STARLENE'S JOURNAL!
SHE DESERVES IT!
YOU LIAR!
IT WOULDN'T EVEN BE THAT HARD, JUST "SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO MY GIRL STARLENE FOR BEING SUCH A GREAT ARTIST!"
BUT NO!
BECAUSE YOU DON'T FOLLOW UP ON YOUR PROMISES!
IF I EVER BECOME PRESIDENT, YOU ARE SO OFF THE LIST FOR THE SECRET SERVICE!
OF COURSE, THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN'T STILL HIRE PROSTITUTES.
LIVE YOU DREAMS, EVEN THOUGH STARLENE'S DREAMS OF BEING MENTIONED IN YOUR JOURNAL HAVE BEEN CRUSHED!

Mm, I don't know, maybe you could DO WHAT YOU SAID YOU WERE GOING TO DO. It's a simple matter of duty! For example, when I promised that elephant that I would see him in court, I did. Granted, I had to bring him in at night, because no one will let you sue an elephant, but I saw him in court. I got a picture of him with last Tuesday's newspaper. ...Now, where did I get that? That's not the point. The point is you promised, so you have to feature her with last Tuesday's newspaper.

Is last Tueday's Helsingin Sanomat okay, or does it have to be something more international?
