Secret Santa 2013 - Thank you!

EDIT 1/1/2014: Hi everybody, and thanks for a fantastic Secret Santa exchange! Only two out of the 33 participants decided to bail out without any explanation. The 31 of you who took part as you promised – thank you so much for taking part and for your lovely gifts! It's been so much fun, hopefully we'll get to do this next December again.

Before that, though, maybe it's time for a new contest at some point..? If you've got any ideas for a theme, comment here, I'll keep them in mind.

Hello all,

long time no talk! What's up with all of you? Has anyone seen the new Toronto production of Les Mis – or any other version? I'm sure many of you are already counting days to the upcoming Broadway premiere...

Seeing it's almost December all of a sudden, I figure we could do a little Secret Santa exchange. I admit the idea came to me a bit late, it'd been nice to get this started a bit earlier – but if we start now, there's still plenty of time. All members of LesMisClub are invited to take part. Every participant will receive a piece of Les Mis fanart or fanfiction from a fellow fan!

Taking part

Leave a comment in this journal entry with two of your favourite Les Mis characters. By leaving a comment, you promise to create one gift for the exchange.
On December 1st, you will receive a note with the name of your Secret Santa gift recipient and their two favourite characters. Your task is to create a piece of art for them that features one or both of those characters.
Post the art to the group's Secret Santa folder by December 31st. When the gift is posted, remember to send a link to your recipient! Also remember to include their name in the gift's description.

Any kind of art is okay as long as it doesn't break the group rules. Please note that art that includes copyrighted material such as movie screencaps or stage production photos is not allowed in the group gallery.
Aspire to create something that you think would make you happy if you were to receive a similar gift, but remember that the gifts do not have to be overly complicated. A nice sketch or a ficlet is perfectly fine – though it is not forbidden to create something really detailed, either! Keep in mind that this is not a contest but a gift exchange meant to spread some holiday cheer.
If you decide to take part, you have to follow through and give your person a gift. Absolutely no copping out allowed. Santa is watching you!!
